Gary James benefits from over 18 years’ experience in landscaping, having worked for some of the major players in the industry, and has a wealth of knowledge on all areas of the projects that Gary James Landscapes undertakes.

Whilst employed with other companies Gary gained valuable experience in commercial and new build landscaping, show home garden projects and achieved a ‘Streets Work’ qualification. Further into his career, he placed a heavier focus on residential properties to really expand his knowledge and capabilities to support homeowners in creating amazing outdoor spaces.

Gary has had the benefit of working as site manager which furthered his skills in the overall management of projects, including managing two teams who carried out projects worth in excess of £100K. Whilst in the role, the company achieved four landscaping awards, and Gary had the pleasure of working on one of Nottingham’s most expensive houses, valued at over £10million.

Gary then set up Gary James Landscapes so he could drive his passion for landscaping and bespoke ideas to the next level. They are now a two-man team with a great reputation.

Billy joined the team in 2021 bringing with him 6 years of professional experience in the gardening, landscaping and grounds maintenance business. Three of these years were spent as Head Groundsman for a local Golf Club… and we all know how high expectations are in such settings. Along with this experience, Billy also holds Pa1, Pa2 and Pa6 spraying licences and a chainsaw licence. He is first aid trained and has achieved a Level 2 Sports Turf Diploma.
